Emergency services are at the scene of a fatal collision on the A361 near Banbury.
Police said they were called at 5.42am to reports that a silver Vauxhall Astra and a silver Vauxhall Astra van had collided.
The crash happened on the Williamscot Hill section of the A361 near Williamscot. The silver Astra, which was travelling northbound towards Chipping Warden, contained three people.
The driver, a man believed to be in his twenties, and the front seat passenger, a woman believed to be in her twenties, were pronounced dead at the scene.
The rear seat passenger, a woman, has been taken to the Horton Hospital, Banbury, with serious injuries.
The driver of the Astra van, which was travelling away from Chipping Warden towards Banbury, has also been taken to the Horton Hospital, with serious injuries.
The road is closed in both directions and is likely to remain so until at least 11am. Drivers are advised to avoid the area.
