Young Oxford actors travel to Narnia

CHILDREN ventured through the wardrobe into the world of Narnia to tell the story of The Lion The Witch and the Wardrobe.

It was part of a half-term workshop organised by Oxford’s Creation Theatre Company for children aged six to 16, giving them the chance to tread the boards and develop their acting skills.

The children devised their own performances and learned skills associated with professional actors at Leckford Place School and St Gregory the Great Catholic School.

Workshop leader and actor Richard Kidd led the Narnia session for nine to 12-year-olds. He recently received acclaim for his portrayal of Mr Beaver in a New Vic production of the play.

Other children staged a choreographed fight sequence in a high-energy workshop session.
