Jools died in style, say parents

A FORMER BBC Radio Oxford volunteer who fell to his death from an eight-storey London restaurant was wearing a designer suit and had just ordered Champagne.

“Style meant everything” to stockbrocker and Oxford University graduate Anjool Malde, according to his parents.

Mr Malde, known as Jools, died on Sunday, ahead of his 25th birthday party he had planned for last night.

His parents Naina and Bharat, from Yarm, near Middlesbrough, said: “We are absolutely devastated.

“Equally, we are so touched by the warm words from his many, many friends that alluded both to his tremendous talent and positive, lively spirit.

“He was an inspiration to so many. Apparently he donned a Hugo Boss suit with matching designer accessories, treated himself to a glass of Champagne at the much frequented, upmarket City restaurant Coq d’Argent, and jumped from an eighth-floor rooftop. Style meant everything to him and that’s how he chose his exit.”

Mr Malde, who graduated with a degree in geography from St Peter’s College in 2005, had been a stockbroker at Deutsche Bank, but was asked to leave work early last Friday, due to an impending “IT inquiry”.

He had worked as a voluntary contributor at Radio Oxford on programmes including the Download music show, and had interviewed stars such as Geri Halliwell.
