KYLIE Minogue’s former choreographer led dance sessions at a new performing arts academy in Witney.

Tim Noble worked with 40 children at an event held to launch the West Oxfordshire Academy of Performing Arts, at Henry Box School, on Saturday.

He joined the pop superstar in 2000 and worked with her as dance captain for the next five years, including the Show Girl world tour in 2005.

Mr Noble has since worked with the likes of Madonna, Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake.

The new academy aims to bring in experts to teach singing, dancing and drama to children between the age of four and 16 and is the brainchild of Brian Conroy.

Mr Conroy, who started the business after being made redundant by Oxfordshire County Council last year, said: “Tim was just fantastic.

“The children came in very quiet and a bit nervous but he made every child feel like they had something to offer. He was just so inspirational.”

Megan Hayes, nine, said: “I absolutely loved it. I like the way Tim teaches dance. It’s really fun and he gave me good advice about dancing.”

The academy is running a free taster sessions day with dance, drama and singing at Henry Box School on Saturday from 10am to 1pm.
