Safes are stolen

W OXON: A spate of safe thefts has hit the area with three overnight burglaries in the last month.
On Saturday, January 21, a the cellar of the Plough Inn in Clanfield was targeted.
On Monday, February 6, thieves got in through a rear door of a butcher’s shop in Market Square, Bampton.
Witney’s Windrush Inn was hit on Thursday, February 9, when another safe containing cash was taken.
