A WITNEY film festival is returning for its second showing.

After the success of last year’s festival, which packed the Corn Exchange, graduates Daniel Newton and girlfriend Jennifer Learney plan to put on a repeat performance in October.

The couple are now appealing for film-makers who want to exhibit their work.

Independent short films, up to 15 minutes long and from any genre, including animation, can be submitted until September 1.

Film-makers will be notified on September 10 if their work will be shown during the festival.

Miss Learney said: “Last year’s festival received a great response from film makers and audience members.

“We loved organising the event and would like the festival to continue for as long as people enjoy it.”
