A STRETCH of the A40 in West Oxfordshire has reopened after a lorry overturned.

The crash this morning prompted police to close both sides of the road between Burford and Worsham, at the roundabout connecting with Burford Road.

Traffic had been unable to access the road since 5.45am, and police advised there was no official diversion in place.

The road was closed for hours but had reopened by midday.

South Central Ambulance Service said it was not called out to the crash.

Police tweeted an image of the lorry showing it lying across the road.
