FOODIES from across the county and beyond will descend on Blenheim Palace for its annual food festival.

This year’s enhanced three-day festival will feature more demonstrations, more producers from the area and more tastings than in previous years.

The event, now in its third year, will be held on the grounds of the Woodstock estate from May 27 to 29.

Food and drink from more than 120 stallholders will be on offer, including artisan bakers, craft brewers, gourmet burgers, international cuisine, traditional ice creams and handmade sweets.

There will also be traditional hay bale picnic areas and special activities for children. Dogs on leads are welcome at the event, but will not be allowed into the Pleasure Gardens area.

Entry to the food festival is included in the admission ticket to the World Heritage Site – and all of the talks, tastings and demos are also free.

Full details of the line-up of chefs appearing in the Talks, Tasting and Demo Hub will be published closer to the time – but organisers Fantastic British Food Festivals have told audiences to look out for well-known TV chefs and Masterchef finalists

There will also be strolling musicians, a children’s storyteller, face painting and garden games.
