IT looks like Ironman kept his promise after all.
Six months ago, actor Robert Downey Jr hopped into action when he saw an Instagram message from Witney mum Vicky Keyte about her son Daniel.
The youngster, who suffers from cystic fibrosis, had fallen ill and was being bullied at school so his mum decided to try and make his dream come true by contacting his metallic hero.
Less than a week later Ironman-actor Downey Jr responded inviting the family to join him on the red carpet for the Los Angeles premiere for his new film Captain America: Civil War.
And true to his word, Daniel finally got to meet his hero on the red carpet, although it turned out to be the European premiere in London rather than in the USA.
Mum Vicky posted pictures on Instagram and Twitter of their night, on April 26, including the moment Daniel got a picture with his new hero.
Taking time out from the red carpet, Downey Jr spoke to his young fan about his dream car, and arranged for him to be sent presents at home.
The family got the star-studded treatment as well, with a car sent to their home in Madley Park to drive them down to London.
The group also got to see other stars of the film up close, including Scarlett Johansson and Chris Evans.
