TWO men who were killed when the microlight aircraft they were flying crashed died from multiple injuries, an inquest heard today.

Keith Poulton and Dr Connor Morris, known as Edward, died when the light aircraft they were flying crash landed at Enstone airfield, smashing through a fence and colliding with a lorry trailer.

Mr Poulton, 59 of Manor Farm Cottages, Flecknoe, had been Mr Morris' passenger on the flight when it left the airfield on Friday, July 3.

The alarm was raised when the aircraft crash landed at about 7.20pm.

Dr Morris, a 62-year-old retired GP of Church Green, Witney, and Mr Poulton were declared dead at the scene about half-an-hour later.

Opening an inquest into the pair's deaths, Oxfordshire coroner Darren Salter said the Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) was investigating the crash.

A post mortem examination revealed that both men died from multiple injuries, but because the AAIB investigation is still ongoing no date for their inquest could be set.
