A FARCICAL comedy created by West Oxfordshire writer Raymond Hopkins is set to delight audiences this weekend.

Witney Dramatic Society will grace the stage at the Methodist High Street Church tonight and Saturday from 7.30pm with The Love Nest, a tale of reviving old passions, mothers-in-law and misguided breaks away.

And even before curtain up the performances will be supporting Multiple Sclerosis Research, as all royalties and a share of programme sales will be donated to the charity.

The play follows David and Janet Thompson, who were deeply in love when they wed 32 years ago. But that was before Janet's mother moved in.

In a last ditch attempt to save their marriage, the couple return to the guest house where they spent their honeymoon.

But the bid to rekindle the romance gets off to a sour start as Janet's mum decides to tag along, and upset everyone in the process.

Cue disaster, aggravated by an overzealous waitress, a frustrated newly-wed and an admirer from the past.

Will true love win through in the end? Only Tyson the mouse will have the answer.
