Wood Green School could be taken out of special measures by April, its headteacher has said.

It was placed in special measures in October 2013 after being rated “inadequate” by schools watchdog Ofsted.

It was rated outstanding in 2010.

This week headteacher Robert Shadbolt told parents in a letter that an inspector who visited on November 5 and 6 said the school was making “reasonable progress.”

The school could be regraded between April and October 2015 next year.
