WITH the countdown under way to the launch of Chipping Norton Theatre’s pantomine Mother Goose, actors got into character by visiting a goose farm.
But for Martyn Dempsey, who plays evil troll Smorg in the production beginning next week, the trip to Fairspear Hill Farm in Leafield proved a nerve-wracking experience as he is scared of the creatures.
The 30-year-old, who visited with Mother Goose actor JJ Henry, said: “It was interesting being there because I have a bit of a fear of birds. But they are amazing animals and for Mother Goose it was lovely for her to be surrounded by them – she was right at home.”
Children from Kingham Primary School also have parts in the panto.
Mother Goose will be performed between Tuesday, November 18, and Sunday, January 11. Ticket prices start at £9.
