A protester has reportedly shoved David Cameron while in Leeds.

The Witney MP was in the city talking about the High Speed rail expansion but was accosted by the person near Leeds Civic Hall.

Video footage of the incident, shared on social media, shows the man running up to the Prime Minister before Mr Cameron's bodyguards intervene.

West Yorkshire Police later tweeted saying: "A 28-year-old local man was briefly arrested after he came close to the PM’s group, who had just left the Civic Hall.

"No threats were made, and after the man’s details were checked, he was de-arrested and allowed on his way."
