A GROUP of mature art students have opened a show at the Oxfordshire Museum, in Woodstock.

The eight members of the Stuff Collective have work on display at the Brewhouse backroom until October 20.

They met on an art and design course at Abingdon & Witney College college’s Abingdon campus.

Painter Jacqueline McLaurin, 63, from Wantage, said: “We have worked together under the mentorship of Jan Crombie, who is a very respected artist.

“She curated the show, which means it looks really good.”

The exhibits include pencil drawings, abstract and landscape paintings, paper sculptures and photography.

The exhibition includes work by Kate Kay, who has been working on a special project at the Oxford University Museum of Natural History. While that museum has been closed all this year for roof repairs, Ms Kay has been illustrating the process of wrapping up dinosaur skeletons to protect them and replacing glass panels in the roof.

Her charcoal drawings are part of the exhibition.
