ST BRITIUS Church in Brize Norton held a celebration on Sunday to mark the completion of a new roof.
Grants from English Heritage, landfill tax grants body Waste Recycling Environmental (Wren), Oxfordshire Historic Churches Trust and fundraising by the church raised the £400,000 needed.
Church warden Jacquie Griffin said: “I would like to thank everybody who has contributed.
“The new roof is very important, because the church has been here for 900 years and is a solid part of the community.
“It is lovely to have made it secure for another couple of hundred years.”
The event was attended by the Bishop of Dorchester, the Rt Rev Colin Fletcher and featured songs of praise and a thanksgiving.
