HOLLYWOOD hopefuls attended a free drama class in Woodstock.

TV and film acting company Inspiring Drama held the session at Woodstock Community Centre on Saturday for seven- to 18-year-olds.

Harvey Stokes, eight, said: “I like making my own films with my Dr Who figures and wanted to learn how to act and make films properly. It’s fun.”

The Woodstock and Summertown firm was launched in April by director and actor Tom Brooks.

He said: “Sometimes kids are not confident but you find that they just need encouraging.

“It’s those inter-personal skills which are important for later life.”

Mr Brooks has directed films and documentaries, including Three Schools in Zimbabwe about a charity called The Budiriro Trust which funds children to stay on at school.
