I hope to god that she will be fine, and the police investigate this fully. When we get on a bit we can't get out of the way of these buses like the youngsters who can run across the road. A Number 17 nearly had me last week racing down Kingston Rd.

A bus weighs about 17 tonnes chap. You shouldn't be running out in front of them. They invented these things called footpaths a little while ago. Use one and those things called pedestrian crossing use one of them aswell

I agree, but buses do not stop for them, as shown by the poor lad who was run over by a bus on the crossing in Headington a few years ago. nut let us not mention the other people killed by buses Mr bonodog (bus driver)

Personally I don't think it was the bus drivers fault, there are pedestrian crossings for a reason and they should use them responsibly and wait until it beeps to cross. I do hope the woman will be ok though and make a quick recovery!

Im no bus driver chap. Like the last person said and i said there are crossings in place and should be used. You cannot blame a bus driver for running someone over who is trying to save them selves 5 seconds by running across the road in front of it. The road is their for cars lorrys and buses not pedestrians. They should use the designated crossing. #rantover

Just for the record from someone who lives just up the road from where it happened, I feel need to let you know that she WAS in fact at the pedestrian crossing when it happened!! I don't think sarcastic comments are needed when there is a lady seriously injured in hospital!!

Agreed with the comment above, but as I've said crossing should be used correctly (waiting for the man to turn green for pedestrians to cross) and not cross when the traffic lights are green to for the traffic to move.

Buses have CCTV on them so that will show what actually happened. Dont blame anyone until the evidence is proved. It does annoy me when I see people especially with kids crossing busy roads just yards from a crossing. Hope the lady makes a full recovery.
