A WOMAN has been sentenced to five months in prison for shoplifting cosmetics and meat in Witney and Grove.

Thames Valley Police said Emma Luker, 34, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to six counts of theft from a shop at Oxford Magistrates Court on 22 July.

She was sentenced on July 27.

Luker stole cosmetics from Boots in High Street, Witney, on five occasions on June. She also stole meat from the Co-Op in Grove on 28 June.

Police published CCTV images of her on July 14 and she was arrested on June 20.

PC Jonathan Kelly of neighbourhood policing, said: "I am delighted with Luker’s conviction, which is the result of partnership working between the force and the public.

"I would like to thank the public and the media for sharing the CCTV images of Luker, which we published in an attempted to locate and arrest her, which we successfully did a few days later."
