Two men have been charged following a rural operation to combat theft from vehicles in the Vale of White Horse District Council area.
Thames Valley Police said the two men were arrested on Sunday in Ashbury, near Shrivenham, and charged on Monday, with theft from a motor vehicle and vehicle interference.
The charges are in connection with the theft of a purse from a vehicle in a car park near the Ridgeway on Sunday.
Henry Willett, 48, of Winston Close, Southampton was charged with vehicle interference and theft from a motor vehicle.
David Wells, 54 of Shrewton, Salisbury, was charged with theft from a motor vehicle.
They have been bailed to attend Oxford Magistrates’ Court on February 23.
