A THIEF stole a charity box from a pub.
The man - described as white, possibly eastern European and between 5ft 2in and 5ft 4ins tall - walked into the Swan in Park Road, Faringdon, and stole the Royal National Lifeboat Institution box at about 2.45pm on Monday, June 9.
The man was of stocky build and also had dark hair and wore a jacket, dark shirt and a dark pair of trousers, police said.
He was seen heading towards the town centre, along Southampton Street, after exciting the pub.
Police only released information of the theft today when they appealed for witnesses to call them on 101.
