THE Wantage and Grove Campaign Group for sustainable development has arranged a new meeting with MP Ed Vaizey at Wantage Civic Hall on Friday, May 3, at 8pm.

Mr Vaizey, MP for Wantage and Didcot, and Vale of White Horse District Council leader Matthew Barber, will answer questions and discuss the draft Local Plan, which recommends building about 5,000 new homes in Wantage and Grove.

The meeting was originally arranged for April 26, but Mr Vaizey was unavailable.

Group leader Julie Mabberley said: “This will be a major opportunity to influence the current plans for extensive housing developments around Wantage and Grove and we urge as many people as possible to attend.”
