Belson by-election
10:50am Saturday 21st April 2012 in Wallingford
The Conservatives held the Watlington county council division in a by-election to find a successor for Roger Belson, who died on Boxing Day after a heart attack.
Caroline Newton was elected with 865 votes, Lib Dem Nicholas Hancock was second with 259, Labour’s James Merritt got 157 and the UKIP’s Jonathan Kent was fourth with 110 votes.
The voter turnout was 24.3 per cent.
