A race night at the George Hotel has raised £3,000 for the Brain Tumour Research charity.
The fundraiser last Friday included an auction and a raffle. It costs £1m a year to run one of the charity’s research centres.
Charity spokeswoman Liz Fussey said: “Money raised will fund research at one of our centres.”
Mikaela Martin, co-director of Spirit Hair Company, in Wallingford, who helped to organise the event, said: “We wanted to have a fun night while raising funds for a serious cause.”
