VISITORS to Harcourt Arboretum have been sowing the seeds of a good time this week.

The Nuneham Courtenay arboretum, which is owned and run by Oxford University, put on an event celebrating seeds in all their forms.

There was a chance to saunter along the splendid seed trail and try out a range of seed-themed craft activities at the event on Tuesday.

Children and adults alike could create a grass head monster, cone wind chime/mobile, and popcorn rain sticks.

On display were seeds that look like alligators, some that look like tiny cucumbers, smooth seeds and spikey seeds, Lynn Daley, education and outreach officer at the arboretum, said: “This event was a great way to end our summer family friendly-themed activities because at this time of year the Arboretum has many splendid seeds on display.”
