REGISTRATION for the 2015 White Horse Half Marathon has now opened.

The race, on Sunday, March 29, will see hundreds run from Grove, through Denchworth, Charney Bassett and back again.

Organised by the White Horse Harriers Athletic Club for 33 years, places are expected to fill up by December.

Entry is open to anyone aged 17 and over and costs £16 for members and £19 for non-members. Cash prizes of £100, £50 and £25 will be awarded to the first three men and first three women.

In addition to raising funds for the club, the event will support Grove Day Care Centre for the elderly.

Leading athletes will compete for the Jim Thorpe Memorial Trophy (men) and Silver Salver (ladies).

The race will start at 9.30am in Cane Lane, Grove, pass along Newlands Drive and then through Denchworth.

Runners will then make a loop through Lyford and Charney Bassett back to Denchworth before returning to the finish line on Pound Green, Grove.
