A SCRAP lorry overturned on the A420, shedding its load across the carriageway.
As of 6pm, the road had reopened after an extensive clean-up operation.
Bit of old cars, sheets of corrugated iron and a drainpipe were among the tonnes of scrap metal strewn across the road.
Police drafted in a tractor to help scoop up the debris.
Motorists were told to avoid the area with a diversion in place through Longcot village.
