THE M40 has reopened after a bridge was hit by a truck carrying a JCB.
Highways Agency had closed one lane of the M40 southbound at Junction 7, near Thame, while an engineer checked if the bridge was safe.
It has since been given the all-clear and the lane has been reopened.
Spokeswoman Sarah Silk said: “We may have to do work on it later but it’s safe to open now.”
