Officers were out in force last night delivering a special Christmas message to regular offenders.
South Oxfordshire and Vale police dropped off Christmas cards with a gentle warning against anti-social behaviour.
There were also extra patrols in Abingdon, Wantage, Didcot, Faringdon and Thame to spread the message.
Chief Inspector Andy Boyd said: “We do it every year. We deliver them [regular offenders] Christmas cards just to remind them that just because it’s Christmas we won’t be taking our eye off the ball. In fact we will have extra staff and will be more vigilant. What we don’t want is criminals ruining people’s Christmases.”
The officers also delivered Christmas hampers to the elderly.
