T.W. will fine anybody using a hosepipe to use 500 litres to water their lawn. T.W. lose everyday 200 million litres of water in Oxford, and cannot collect the rain that has fallen. And some people are still stupid enough to believe their propaganda. Until we stop paying our bills, they will keep on taking the p!ss. Can they take a million+ of us to court?
Yes they can. Why don't you take the first stand?
Sevvy, I am lucky enough not to have a water meter, and divert a fair bit to my business, so for the standing charge I am very happy, it is the others that have to watch their water usage that I feel sorry for. P.S. Come to an agreement with your neighbours that none of you are a grass (grass geddit!) and then keep on using your hosepipes. P.P.S. T.W. State proudly that the hosepipe ban will save 5% of water, but keep very quiet about the FACT that they lose 27% through unfixed leaks."

Flood alert issued on River Cherwell

THE Environment Agency this afternoon put out a flood alert notice for the River Cherwell and its tributaries through Cropredy, Banbury and Kings Sutton as far as Upper Heyford.

The warning means flooding of low-lying land adjacent to the river is expected but properties are not in danger at this stage.

Flood alerts have already been issued for the rivers Ock, Ray and Thame and the Chalgrove Brook and Letcombe Brook around Wantage and Grove.
