FESTIVAL season is fast approaching, with another irresistable mix of musicians, comedians, foodies and artists set to descend on the county.

Common People festival has released another stellar line-up and is looking forward to welcoming headliners The Jacksons and Ride to Oxford’s South Park over the late May bank holiday weekend.

The festival will also feature the world’s biggest bouncy castle.

Over at Blenheim Palace headliners Gary Barlow, Noel Gallagher and Nile Rodgers will take to the courtyard of the World Heritage Site in Woodstock over four nights from June 14 to 17 for Nocturne.

The Henley Festival, complete with its black tie dress code, will once again feature music, comedy and art, beside the Thames from July 11 to 15.

Dance act Basement Jaxx and singers Craig David and Paloma Faith have been revealed as the headliners of west Oxfordshire's Big Feastival. The three-day event, held at Blur Bassist Alex James's farm in Kingham, near Chipping Norton, from August 24 to 26, this summer marks its seventh year. Food is almost of equal importance and this summer sees appearances by chef Marco Pierre White and Oxford's Raymond Blanc.

Towersey will see in its 54th year this August bank holiday from August 24 to 27.

The festival, which takes place on the outskirts of Thame, delights crowds with four days of music, ceilidh, workshops, film screenings and activities.

British country duo The Shires are the last headlining act to be unveiled, joining the programme along the likes of The Proclaimers and Fisherman’s Friend.
