A GEORGE Stubbs painting was unveiled at The Oxfordshire Museum as part of the Cotswolds Art and Antique Dealers’ Association exhibition.

The painting, worth £2.9m, is part of the Why Antiques? 100 Years of Collecting in the Cotswolds exhibition that begins tomorrow.

Visitors to the museum in Woodstock will also be able to view a selection of furniture, clocks, glass,, fine art objects, paintings and watercolours until October 16.

The exhibition coincides with the Oxfordshire Museum’s 50th anniversary celebrations.
