OXFORDSHIRE'S finest young businesspeople will have their skills put to the test at the county finals of the annual Young Enterprise competition tomorrow night.

Budding entrepreneurs from across the county aged 15 to 19 have been put into teams and challenged to set up and run their own company for a year.

Under the guide of a skilled volunteer business mentor each has elected a board of directors, raised share capital and designed, marketed and financed a product or service.

Participants have joined school fates and Young Enterprise Trade Fairs in Oxford, Banbury and Witney to sell their wares, which this year have included mobile phone accessories, jewellery, scrunchies, slate products, cushions, laptop cases, firelighters, key rings and more.

From 5pm to 8.30pm tomorrow night groups will display their work so far to be judged at the Said Business School.

Nine teams from schools including Our Lady's Abingdon, Burford, Sibford, Oxford High and D'Overbroeck's College will be vying against each other.

One overall winner will progress to the regional final, which could in turn lead to the national and European competitions.

Companies will have the chance to trade to attendees on the night before making their final presentations to a public and invited audience. All are welcome.
