Police called to suspicious package in Oxford to discover homeless belongings
POLICE were called to a suspicious looking package in New Inn Hall street only to discover it was a homeless person's belongings.
Officers attended shortly after 7.30am following reports of a large black sports bag outside the rear door to a law firm.
On realising the 'package' appeared to be the possession's of a homeless person the scene was cleared just after 8am.
On Tuesday Speedwell Street was closed after a child's school kit was treated as a suspicious package.
A stagecoach bus was evacuated after the bag was left behind and the street closed off while police made checks.
