ENGINEERS are now on site and working “as fast as possible” to restore disrupted train services this morning.
Due to a signalling problem at Leamington Spa, passengers have experienced major delays on the Birmingham to London line and those travelling north of Banbury have been advised to use other services.
Now that engineers are at the scene, no trains are running between Birmingham and Leamington Spa so testing can take place.
Services are running between London Marylebone and Banbury.
Customers are asked to check their journey carefully before travelling.
For customers travelling north of Banbury, Chiltern Railways tickets are valid on Virgin Trains West Coast and London Midland services between Birmingham New Street and London Euston, and intermediate stations en route.
Tickets are also being accepted on First Great Western services into London via Oxford and Reading.
