WHAT a little character young Loui Glazebrook is with theses funky glasses on! The toddler was at the Follow your Rainbows event at the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford and Julian Rus caught him in action.
Following the horrendous attacks in Paris last week, people from Oxford’s French community came together to remember the victims. Julian Rus joined them outside The Sheldonian Theatre to capture the emotive scenes. Je suis Charlie.
Lighting engineer Jack Linaker has been at St Birinus School to work on their production of Guys and Dolls. Dave Fleming took this shot of the 23-year-old beaming into the camera, leaning over a light. Lovely, simple picture that tells the story well.
Damian Halliwell went along to the Exhile exhibition at Wolfson College to capture some of the art on display there, Unfortunately there was no one around to be in the picture, so Damian used the next best thing... himself! By putting his camera on self-timer and jumping into the frame, he came back with a great shot. Nice work!
Abingdon Drama Club recently celebrated its 70th anniversary and Jon Lewis went along to meet director Mike Ward. The only light is from Jon’s off camera flash used to light Mike’s face and the archway in which he is standing. Great picture.
Cheney School is running a competition to create an orrery (a model of the solar system) as part of an ancient astronomy day. Richard Cave photographed pupil Peter Cole holding one such model. I like the way the glass background helps light the frame, which is aptly decorated with stars and astronomy images.
