OXFORD MAGISTRATES

  1. Carl Haines, 32, of Lambourn Road, Rose Hill, Oxford, admitted breaching a non-molestation order in Knights Road, Oxford, on December 13 by entering a premises and using threatening words or behaviour. Community order made with one-month curfew requirement and told to pay £75 compensation, a £60 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  2. Shane Murphy, 28, of Hogarth Place, Abingdon, admitted drink-driving in Marcham Road, Abingdon, on November 24. Had 58 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 micrograms. Also admitted driving without insurance and driving without a licence on the same date in the same location. Given a 12-month driving ban and fined £210. Also told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge.
  3. Stephen Rushmer, 54, of Colemans Hill, Headington, admitted breaching an anti-social behaviour order by having an open container of alcohol and shouting abusive language in a public place in Oxford on January 2. Also admitted committing a further offence while subject to a suspended sentence made by Oxford Magistrates’ Court on December 15 for an earlier breach of the same order. Given a 28-day prison sentence.
     

BANBURY MAGISTRATES

  1. Alice Ashcroft, 22, of Abbott Road, Didcot, admitted stealing alcohol and washing detergent worth £94.56 from a Co-Op store in Broadway Service Station, Wantage Road, Didcot on January 4. Also admitted stealing an LG Smart LED TV worth £329.99 from B&M Stores in Wallingford Road, North Moreton, on January 5. Given an 18-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a total of £424.55 in compensation.
  2. Robert Benfield, 18, of Kings End, Bicester, admitted possessing cannabis, a Class B drug, in Piggy Lane, Bicester on October 3. Given a two-year conditional discharge and ordered to pay a victims’ surcharge of £15 and £85 in costs.
  3. Nathan Dyer, 25, of Hornbeam Road, Bicester, admitted being drunk and disorderly in Sheep Street, Bicester, on December 14. Given a six-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a victims’ surcharge of £15 and £35 in costs.
  4. Stuart Gordon, 41, of Castle Street, Banbury, admitted possessing 78ml of methadone, a Class A drug, in Banbury on November 13 while on conditional discharge for a similar offence. Given a six-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a victims’ surcharge of £15 and £35 in costs.
  5. Maria Groffe, 34, of West Hawthorn Road, Bicester, admitted stealing two Blackberry mobile phones worth £731.53 from Blackberry UK at Weston On The Green on July 4. Given a community order and ordered to pay £500 in compensation. Ordered to pay a victims’ surcharge of £60 and £85 in costs.
  6. Jade Keenan-Naff, 18, of Worton Road, Middle Barton, admitted carrying a 2.5ft-long metal pipe and using threatening behaviour in Lowell Place, Witney, on September 28. Given a community order to do 60 hours of unpaid work. Ordered to pay a victims’ surcharge of £60 and £85 in costs.
  7. James Thornton, 44, of Luther Street, Oxford, admitted stealing meat and fish products worth £137 from Marks & Spencer in Queen Street, Oxford, on August 13. Given a four-month community order and ordered to pay a victims’ surcharge of £60 and £40 in costs.
  8. Lesley Shields, 49, of Wadham Close, Bicester, was convicted of threatening or using unlawful violence against PCs James Waterson and Daniel Hopkins in Wadham Close, Bicester, on November 29, 2013. Fined £110 and ordered to pay a victims’ surcharge of £20 and £500 in costs.
  9. Joshua O’Brien, 21, of Murcott Road, Upper Arncott, admitted drink driving in King’s End Road in Bicester on December 9. Had 104 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath over the 35mg legal limit. Given a community order requiring 80 hours of unpaid work in 12 months and ordered to pay a £60 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for two years.
  10. Dayle Phillips, 35, of Chapel Street, Bicester, admitted possessing cannabis, a Class B drug, in Bicester on October 23. Fined £50 and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £40 costs.
  11. Shawn Trinder, 19, of Wenman Road, Witney, admitted failing to comply with a court order banning him from Corn Street, Witney, on December 13. Fined £200 and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  12. Annalise Copestake, 28, of Thorney Leys, Witney, admitted stealing £60 cash from a person in Witney on December 11. Also admitted breaching a non-molestation order by going to the victim’s address in Burford Road, Witney, on December 11 and December 27 and admitted failing to provide a sample for a Class A drugs test the following day at Banbury Police Station on Warwick Road. Community order made requiring a three-month curfew between 7pm and 7am and ordered to pay £60 compensation, a £60 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  13. Adrian Fannon, 36, of Evenlode, Banbury, admitted stealing four legs of lamb, worth a total of £50, from Co-op in Bloxham on October 1. Also admitted stealing steak worth £12 from Bicester Co-op on October 2. Given an eight-week prison sentence suspended for 12 months and ordered to pay £62 compensation, an £80 victims’ surcharge and £40 costs.
  14. Tommy Ginty, 25, and Gavin Neary, 18, both of Booth Road, Banbury, admitted using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause persons to believe that unlawful violence would be used against them at Masters Pizza and Kebab House in Banbury High Street on September 6. Both fined £300 and ordered to pay a £30 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  15. Stephen Davies, 53, of Braithwaite Close, Banbury, admitted using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour to cause fear in Banbury on September 6. Fined £300 and ordered to pay a £30 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
