OXFORD MAGISTRATES

  1. Samuel Heslop, 39, of Lower Radley, Abingdon, admitted failing to leave Blowing Stone Hill, Kingston Lisle, within a reasonable time when police ordered him to because they believed he was preparing a rave on July 13. Also admitted two counts of failing to surrender to Newbury Magistrates’ Court, Berkshire, on September 29 and October 2. Fined a total of £500, ordered to pay a victims’ surcharge of £30 and £85 in costs.
  2. Robert Howard, 47, of Edith Court, Oxford, was convicted of assault by beating on June 15 at Waterperry. Community order made with a supervision requirement and order to carry out 180 hours of unpaid work. Ordered to pay £150 in compensation, a victims’ surcharge of £60 and £500 in costs.
  3. Bilal Meadows, 26, of Park End, Bodicote, admitted possessing MDMA, a Class A drug, on September 7 at Park End, Bodicote. Also admitted possessing cocaine, a Class A drug, on August 13 at the same address. Fined a total of £160 ordered to pay a victims’ surcharge of £20.
  4. Chelsea Walls, 22, of Saunders Road, Oxford, was convicted of causing criminal damage to a police van to the value of £554 on St Aldates, Oxford, on June 28. Given a six-month conditional discharge, ordered to pay £554 in compensation, a victims’ surcharge of £15 and £120 in costs.
  5. Kelly Davey, 28, of Burwell Drive, Witney, was convicted of speeding at 50mph in Ducklington Lane, Witney, which is a 30mph limit road on April 17. Fined £400 and given six points on her license. Ordered to pay a victims’ surcharge of £40 and £85 in costs.
  6. Sheenwar Mustafa, 35, of Littlemore Road, Oxford, was convicted of speeding at 36mph in Headington Road, which is a 30mph limit road, on March 13. Fined £200 and given three points on his license. Ordered to pay a victims’ surcharge of £20 and £85 in costs.
  7. Michael Jones, 45, of Kiln Avenue, Chinnor, admitted speeding at 57mph on the Eastern Bypass, which is a 50mph limit road, on March 5. Fined £100 and given three points on his license. Ordered to pay a victims’ surcharge of £20.
  8. Hayley Buck, 34, of Hubble Close, Oxford, admitted failing to stop at a red traffic light at Thornhill Park and Ride, Oxford, on March 8. Fined £100 and given three points on his license. Ordered to pay a victims’ surcharge of £20.
  9. Adam Painton, 20, of Van Diemans Road, Thame, admitted possessing cannabis, a Class B drug, in Abingdon Police Station, Colwell Drive, Abingdon. Fined £55 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  10. Paul Whyte, 57, of Mickle Way, Forest HIll, Oxford, admitted drink driving in Mickle Way, Forest Hill, Oxford, on October 18. Had 102 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 micrograms. Community order made with three-month curfew requirement and given 24-month driving ban. Told to pay a £60 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  11. David Wellman, 41, of Bertie Place, Oxford, admitted knowingly contravening a regulation to leave an area in Oxford on October 18. Given a six-month conditional discharge and told to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge.
  12. Robert Wells, 37, of North Way, Headington, admitted using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour likely to cause harassment alarm or distress in George Street, Oxford, on October 17. Fined £110 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  13. Elliott Harper, 19, of Saunders Road, Oxford, failing to comply with the conditions of his licence on March 21 by absconding from an approved premises, failing to stay in contact with probation and failing to attend a supervision appointment on March 24. Fined £100 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge.

 

BANBURY MAGISTRATES

  1. David James, 55, of Foundry Street, Banbury, admitted stealing £157.43 worth of food from Tesco in Banbury on October 19. Also admitted committing a further offence while subject to a 12-month conditional discharge given at Banbury Magistrates’ Court on August 7 for criminal damage. Given a Community Order requiring participation in a Thinking Skills Programme for six days and ordered to pay a £60 victims’ surcharge.
  2. John Parkin, 31, of Arndale Beck, Didcot, admitted committing fraud by false representation. On May 23 at Stadhampton he filled his vehicle with £70.20 worth of petrol, then claimed to have forgotten his wallet and had no means of payment so filled in a no means of payment form with false details intending to make gain. Admitted doing the same thing for £63.88 worth of petrol in Oxford on June 4. Given a six-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £70.20 worth of compensation.
  3. Paul Wyeth, 33, of Shackleton Close, Bicester, admitted stealing £80 of perfume from Wilco in Bicester on October 19, £26.98 worth of alcohol from Tesco Express, Bicester, on September 23 and toiletries of value unknown from Bicester Co-op on September 17. Also admitted stealing two electric razors worth £154.98 from Boots on Sheep Street, Bicester, on November 3 and admitted failing to answer bail at Banbury Magistrates’ Court on November 3, having been released on bail from Bicester Police Station on criminal proceedings on October 19. Given an eight-week prison sentence suspended for one year and ordered to pay £80 compensation.
  4. Lee Smith, 31, of Meadside, Dorchester-on-Thames, admitted stealing £34.14 worth of meat and alcohol from Dorchester-on-Thames Co-op on September 22. Fined £100 and ordered to pay £34.14 compensation and a £20 victims’ surcharge.
