At OXFORD MAGISTRATES' COURT: 

  • Warren Jeffrey, 41, of Hampden Avenue, Thame, admitted drink-driving in Southfield Road, Oxford, on December 2 last year. Had 83 micrograms of alcohol in 100 ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35mcg. Also drove without a licence or insurance on the same date. Given 120 hours unpaid work for the drink-drive offence, disqualified from holding or obtaining a licence for 24 months and told to pay £85 costs.

     
  • Harry Such, 30, of Wessex Road, Didcot, admitted growing seven cannabis plants on November 4. Fined £120, told to pay victim surcharge of £20 and £85 prosecution costs.

     
  • Matthew Cox, 33, of Brome Place, Headington, admitted stealing seven beauty items from Boots, Headington, worth £285.85 on July 16 and the same quantity, worth £150, from the same store on July 30. Also admitted stealing two handbags worth £68 from Cath Kidston with another on September 25. Told to comply with drug rehabilitation treatment and to pay £34 compensation for the bags and £85 costs.

     
  • Jake Goodwin, 18, of Croft Road, Marston, admitted stealing a bottle of Smirnoff Vodka worth £17.05 at the Co-op in Templars Square, Cowley, on June 28 and possession of cannabis in Oxford on December 12. Fined a total of £120 and told to pay victims’ surcharge of £35.

     
  • Dorjan Ramaj, 21, of Flexney Place, Headington, found guilty of assaulting by beating Oliver Bailey and Josh Worsfold in Hythe Bridge Street, Oxford, on July 3. Told to carry out 200 hours’ unpaid work, pay £150 compensation for each assault and £200 costs.

     
  • Norman Gourley, 60, of no fixed address, admitted stealing alcohol and chocolates worth £33.80 from Waitrose, Abingdon, on December 17. Committed to prison for 21 days as offence so serious and because he is a persistent offender.

     
  • Ricky Tremlett, 21, of Donnington Bridge Road, Oxford, admitted stealing a bicycle with another worth £100 at Radley railway station on September 13 and damaging a marked police car in Abingdon Road, Oxford on September 2 and assaulting a police constable and damaging a police van in Donnington Bridge Road, Oxford, on October 6. Told to do unpaid work and attend a managing alcohol and aggression course and told pay £1,000 compensation, £60 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

     
  • John Royston, 27, of Prunus Close, Blackbird Leys, admitted stealing a Vauxhall Corsa car from Rackham Place, Oxford, on December 15 and stealing numberplates from Starwort Path, Oxford, on the same day. Committed to prison for 12 weeks for the car theft and four weeks for the numberplate theft, to run concurrently. Recalled to prison for six weeks for admitting breaching terms of licence for burglary offence.

     
  • Antonio Nicolae, 21, of no fixed address, admitted stealing clothing worth £624.95 from TK Maxx, Between Towns Road, Oxford, and going equipped for theft, namely a foil-lined bag, at the store. Fined £173, told to pay victims’ surcharge of £20 and £85 costs.

     
  • Johnathan Drewitt, 22, of Queensway, Didcot, admitted beating Ann Sutton and Thomas Oytaben, assistant manager and manager respectively of The Broadways pub in Broadway, Didcot, on November 4. Fined £50 for each assault and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge to Miss Sutton.
     
  • Christopher Hatton, 29, of Freehold Street, Lower Heyford, admitted stealing a Fuji Finepix digital camera worth £20 at The Trade Exchange, London Road, Headington on December 18. Committed to prison for 10 days.

     
  • Sara Dracup, 48, of Northfield Farm Cottages, Gosford, admitted driving a Vauxhall Corsa in Water Eaton Lane on October 16 with 124 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath where the limit is 35mcg. Disqualified from driving for 29 months, told to pay £85 costs and attend an alcohol dependency treatment programme.

     
  • Terry Wakeling, 33, of Chester Street, Oxford, admitted drink-driving in Chester Street, Oxford, on December 12. Had 74 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 mcg. Fined £200, a £20 victims’ surcharge, and £85 costs. Banned from driving for 40 months.

     
  • Darian Rivers, 21, of Coriander Way, Oxford, admitted using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause fear of, or provoke, unlawful violence in New Road, Oxford, on July 1. Community order made with a curfew requirement. Told to pay £310 costs.

     
  • Callum Spencer, 20, of Windbush Road, Rose Hill, Oxford, admitted using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause fear of, or provoke, unlawful violence in New Road, Oxford, on July 1. Community order made including a curfew requirement. Told to pay £310 costs.

     
  • Abdul Banaras, 26, of Hurst Street, Oxford, admitted two charges of assault in Boundary Brook Road, Oxford, on November 15. Also admitted affray in Boundary Brook Road, Oxford, on December 2. Sent to prison for 24 weeks and restraining order made.

     
  • Joanne Elliott, 32, of Victoria Road, Abingdon, admitted two charges of assault by beating in Abingdon on October 25. Also admitted criminal damage to a police cell worth £28.72 on December 6. Given a six-week prison sentence suspended for 12 months. Told to pay an £80 victims’ surcharge and restraining order made.

  • Ruben Breytenbach, 23, of Gibbs Road, Banbury, admitted driving a Ford Ka on Middleton Road, Banbury with 56 microgrammes of alcohol of 100 millilitres of breath, over the limit of 35mcg, on November 23. Banned from driving for 12 months, fined £250, a victims’ surcharge of £25 and £85 costs.

     
  • Shaun Brown, 27, of Grafton Lodge, Britannia Road, Banbury, admitted possessing cannabis at his home on November 21. Fined £75 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £40 costs.
