THIS shoplifting suspect, who police say left his gold-trim Nike Air shoes at the crime scene, is no Cinderella.

Badvent face number four is suspected of trying to steal three bottles of Jack Daniels whisky from the Sainsbury’s store at Heyford Hill, Oxford.

But in a pantomime performance he set off the store alarm and was chased by staff before dropping the bottles and lost his shoes in his haste to get away, according to Thames Valley Police.

The incident happened on Saturday, November 10, shortly after 7pm.

Police say the store’s CCTV cameras watched the man putting the whisky bottles into his trolley and covering them with a distinctive hooded top.

He then left the shop without paying.

The suspect is described as white, about 5ft 9ins tall and slim.

He was wearing a dark red or brown T-shirt, black tracksuit bottoms and light socks.

The trainers he left behind at the scene were black Nike Air shoes with gold trim and were size 9 or 10.

Detective Inspector John Kemsley said: “We would like to hear from anyone who recognises this man.

“Did you see someone walking around without their shoes on a cold November night? Or do you know someone who has recently lost their trainers?

“The hooded top this man was wearing was quite distinctive so we know someone will recognise him.

“Theft will not be tolerated in Oxford and we would like the public to help catch this offender.”
