Theatre director to be next Visiting Professor

Sir Michael Boyd has been named as the next Cameron Mackintosh Visiting Professor of Contemporary Theatre at St Catherine’s College, Oxford.
Sir Boyd trained as a director at the Malaya Bronnaya Theatre in Moscow, and returned to the UK to work at the Belgrade Theatre in Coventry and the Crucible in Sheffield.
He will succeed actress Meera Syal in the post from January 2013.
