Lord Mayor probe continues

Allegations that the Lord Mayor Alan Armitage made an inappropriate comment to a schoolgirl are still being investigated.

Council officers are still deciding whether or not a panel of councillors will deal with the allegations, made after a visit to a Sport Oxford event in June.

The complaint was referred to the city council for investigation, but an authority spokesman confirmed no decision on how it will be conducted had yet been made.

The authority has refused to say which member or members of staff are involved in the decision.
