Man is killed in collision on A40

A man in his 40s has been killed after an accident on the A40 near Burford.
The incident happened at about midday yesterday at the junction with White Hill.
Emergency services were called to reports of a collision between a lorry and a car.
A spokesman for Great Western Ambulance Service said they attended the scene but the driver of the car was dead by the time they arrived.
The lorry driver was taken to Cheltenham General Hospital by ambulance with minor leg injuries.
The A40 was reopened by around 5.30pm.
