The thank-you party
A FAMILY centre in Oxford said a big thank-you to volunteers over a spot of cake and tea.
Staff at The Roundabout Centre in Waynflete Road, Barton, held a lunch for its dozen helpers.
Children’s centre practitioner Kathy Shepherd said: “We wanted to say a big, big thank-you to all our volunteers and say we value them very much. Our life would be very difficult without them.”
Their duties range from helping the cooks, to office duties and running play sessions for the hundreds of children who use the centre.
