KAI Mattinson reached for the sky at an activity day held to promote plans for a junior youth club on Oxford’s Rose Hill estate.
He and other children tried out the climbing wall, circus skills, martial arts and dance classes at the event on Friday.
They also met Oxford United footballers Rhys Day and Richie Baker.
Volunteers, including Fran Gardner, who works for Oxford Citizens Housing Association, have set up a management committee to organise the new club for seven to 12-year-olds.
It is planned to launch the club in September, with weekly meetings at Rose Hill Community Centre, in the Oval.
Ms Gardner said: “It was a fantastic turnout for the taster event.”
A second taster session will be held at the community centre on Friday, August 27, from 1pm to 4pm.
