Three people believe they spotted a UFO flying just outside Oxford in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The trio, who asked not to be named, reported the sighting to Wheatley based Contact International UFO Research.

Contact spokesman Michael Soper said the three people were travelling on the Oxford Tube towards London and were about 10 minutes outside the city, just before 1am. He said: “An object came over the top of them, it was very impressive and shooting orange and white beams in all directions.

“It came over silently. They didn’t know what it was and the driver didn’t know what it was. It was moving from the south east to the north west.

“They could see the base was flat and made of panels — they didn’t know of any aircraft like that.”
