A FREE-wheeling troupe of actors will roll into the city to perform classic Shakespeare plays.
The HandleBards are embarking on a summer tour which will see them stage Twelfth Night and Romeo and Juliet in venues across Oxfordshire.
Travelling between shows only on bicycle, the 'sustainable' theatre company expects to rack up 1,000 miles this year, carrying all the kit needed for their performances.
Split into a four-strong all-male and all-female cast of pedalling thespians, the troupe partners with local environmentally-minded businesses wherever they perform next.
The men will be at Cogges Manor Farm near Witney on June 27 then the Story Museum on June 28.
The women will be at the Story Museum on July 14 and 15 and then the Earth Trust site in Little Wittenham on July 17.
Producer Tom Dixon, said: "The UK is full of stunning areas of natural beauty, which we’re thrilled to be able to work in and help protect.”
