OXFORD marked the Jewish holiday of Lag BaOmer with a special celebration featuring art, music and food yesterday afternoon.
The fifth annual Jewish Cultural Fair saw crowds flock to Broad Street for the event.
The fair featured a selection of Jewish folk music as well as Israeli food stands, Jewish books, art and historic exhibitions.
Director of the Jewish organisation Chabad of Oxford, Rabbi Eli Brackman, said: “The purpose of the fair is to celebrate the full scope of Jewish culture, history and tradition through an informative, fun and educational festival in the centre of Oxford."
The event coincided with the Jewish holiday of Lag BaOmer, meaning 'the 33rd day' as it is falls between the Jewish holiday of Passover and Shavuot – the day on which, according to Jewish tradition, Moses received the Ten Commandments on Mount Sinai.
