A STAR-STUDDED lineup has been announced by the organisers of this year’s 60s-themed Oxford Pride.
The annual celebration of LGBT culture will see Oxford come alive with music, entertainment, talks and events from Sunday, May 21 to Saturday, June 3.
At the main event on Saturday the parade will form up at Radcliffe Square from 11am and depart towards Broad Street before passing through Cornmarket, Queen Street and New Road.
From 1pm two stages in the Castle Quarter and Paradise Street will be graced by the likes of Megan Henwood, BBC2’s Folk Musician of the Year, Britain’s Got Talent finalist La Voix and the Oxford Gospel Choir.
Also entertaining the crowds will be Australian Ru Paul’s Drag Race finalist Courtney Act and 90s dance act N-Trance.
The party will continue in Paradise Street with a DJs and singers until 10.30pm.
Earlier in the week visitors can look forward to the annual Dog Show on Sunday, May 21 in the Castle Quarter.
Then from the Friday onwards a series of events will take place across the city including a themed walk, a talk at Wadham College on decriminalisation and a comedy night at Plush Lounge.
