A LORRY driving the wrong way on the A40 Northern Bypass Road resulted in multiple crashes, say police.
Thames Valley Police are appealing for witnesses after the HGV was seen driving in the wrong direction through Marston at about 11pm on Tuesday.
The lorry then turned to be on the correct side of the road travelling towards Cutteslowe.
It is described as white, curtain-sided and with a foreign registration.
Police said a number of non-injury crashes followed as drivers performed emergency stops to avoid the on-coming lorry.
PC Matthew Hunt of Abingdon Roads Policing department said: "If you have any information about the HGV please contact me via our non-emergency contact telephone number 101."
